アブストラクト マイ ライフ
Abstract My LifeLyrics: Tadashi Hasegawa
Translation: w_b
In the afternoon the anesthetic wears off and my nerves become raw...
I look at the flowers standing in a vase and can't see their beauty at all...
I recall the see-through blood dripping from the needle's tip...
Though you may smile, I become but a simple mechanism... (1)
The treacherous canary flees from its cage...
Bit by bit the "spindle" within me is strained...
That smell I have missed lies hidden in the white tiles' shadow...
Having lost my memories of the womb I become but a simple mechanism...
If the answer lies hidden in my numbed instincts...
Then maybe I can find even the key to my despair...
If the answer lies hidden in my numbed instincts...
Then maybe I can find even the key to my despair...
ABSTRUCT MY LIFE (2)
Notes:
1. I'm not sure whether there is a better way of wording this line. What Tadashi means is that he lost his human side, his feeling side... Perhaps he has become someone who is living 'on autopilot', without truly having a sense of or connection to his surroundings. That is more or less the impression I get.
2. I suspect this may be a typo or a mistake on Tadashi's part. No matter which dictionary I look 'abusutorakuto' up in, the only result I get is 'abstract'. That is also why I've transcribed the title as 'Abstract My Life'.
