Fish Tank Shopping Online
Fish Tank members who live overseas are now allowed to use their credit cards on the official Fish Tank Shopping website, http://www.item-navi.jp/ft/main! No more shopping deadlines, the service is available 24/7!
* Four types of credit card are accepted: Visa, Mastercard, JBC and Amex.
* The items you buy will first be shipped from the store to Fish Tank's office, and then overseas to you. That is why you will be required to pay a 750yen Domestic Shipping charge in addition to the usual 5000yen Overseas Shipping charge. Don't worry, it still comes out to less than sending cash by registered mail!
* This new shopping method is still in its trial period. Fish Tank will consider reinstating the old Mail Order system if too many fans have trouble with this new method or if they receive few orders.
* If you cannot access the Fish Tank Shopping website or if you do not have a credit card, please contact Fish Tank by email or by phone.

HOW TO ORDER
Follow the steps to placing your first order and remember that even though the site is in Japanese, it works exactly like any other online store. :) I've tried to include every possible step in the explanations.
I've also added screencaps of each step for clarification and additional information.
STEP 1
Go to the Fish Tank Shopping page: http://www.item-navi.jp/ft/main
Click on ログイン
- Login in the top left part of your screen.
(If at any point you wish to log out, press the ログアウト - Logout button in the top left part of your screen.)

STEP 2
Enter your USER ID and Password.
* お客様ID - USER ID: this is your 5-digit Fish Tank member's number.
* パスワード - Password: 4 digits. Your password is the month and day of your birthday that you have registered with Fish Tank. If your birthday is July 15, 1981, your password will be 0715.
Then click on 次へ進む - Next Page.

STEP 3
The first time you log into the site you will be prompted to fill out some basic personal information in order to complete the registration process.
Most of the fields will have already been filled out by Fish Tank but the following three fields are mandatory:
* Your name written phonetically in カタカナ - Katakana
* When you write your name in Katakana, simply leave a space between your first name and family name. Do not leave any other characters in between them! Example name: ラウラ スミス
* Your email address
* Your sex (male/female)
* Fish Tank's Tokyo, Shibuya-ku address has already been input for you. Do not change it! It is where your order will be shipped before being sent to you!
* If you don't know katakana, you can use this site for popular names: http://www.alc.co.jp, or you can email us at w_b@nopperabou.net - we'll be happy to help!
* All the mandatory fields will have a little grey icon beside them. Any fields not marked with that icon are not required.
Once you have filled everything out, click the 次へ進む - Next Page button.

STEP 4
Now you need to confirm whether all of the information you have entered is correct. Double check everything and if all is written correctly, click on the GREY button to register.
If you need to make further changes, click on the BLUE button to return to the previous screen.
* If at any time in the future you need to make changes to your information, log into the site and click on お客様情報 - User Data in the main menu. It's the 3rd tab from the left on top of the page.

STEP 5
Once you have registered your information you will be brought back to the main screen. You can now browse the goods.
If you wish to buy an item, click on the カートに入れる - Add to Shopping Cart button located directly beneath the item.
* There is an 8 item limit per order. The Overseas Shipping Charge counts as 1 item. So you can add 7 other items to your shopping cart.
* Items that are available will be marked with "o" . Items that are sold out will be marked with "X" and will not have the "カートに入れる - Add to Shopping Cart" option available.
* Some items will have the 規格あり - Extra Specifications Needed button intead. That is because some items require an extra step. For example, with Tshirts you will have to specify a size.

STEP 6
Next you will need to add the 海外会員用 - 仮送料5000円 - Overseas Members - Provisional Shipping Charge: 5000yen to your cart.
Remember that this step is MANDATORY for all orders that are to be shipped outside of Japan.
Follow the screencaps and place the Overseas Shipping Charge in your shopping cart.

STEP 7
Now that you have added everything to your shopping cart, look at the カート - Shopping Cart section at top left of your screen. You will see listed the number of items you have added as well as your total.
You will now need to go to your shopping cart. To do that, click on the カートを見る - See Shopping Cart button.

STEP 8: カート - Shopping Cart
You are now seeing the contents of your shopping cart. At this point, double check that all of the items you wanted to buy as well as the Overseas Shipping charge are in your cart.
Next, click on レシへ進む - Proceed to Checkout.
STEP 9: レシ (数量設定)- Checkout (Items Quantity Verification)
You have now started the checkout process.
* If you want to change the quantity of any item in your shopping cart, this is the time to do so. Type in the quantity desired in the 数量 - Quantity field then press the 数量を変更する - Change Quantity button beneath.
* If you have more than 8 items total in your cart, you'll get an ERROR message when trying to Proceed to Payment. You will be prompted to take items out of your cart until you are within the allowed limit. The screencaps below will show you how to add or substract items from your shopping cart.
When you have all the right items in the right quantities in your shopping cart, you can click the 決済へ進む - Proceed to Payment button.

STEP 10: レシ (決済方法の選択)
- Checkout (Selection of Payment Method)
Now you will have to enter your Credit Card information.
Note that Fish Tank Shopping only accept the following four cards: Visa, Mastercard, JBC, Amex.
You will need to fill in the following fields:
* お支払方法 - Payment Method: click on (選択してください - Please Choose) and select (クレシット決済- Credit Card.)
* クレシットカード番号 - Credit Card Number
* 名義人 - Cardholder's Name
* 有効期限 - Card's Expiration Date, Month/Year
* Your name, email as well as Fish Tank's address will already appear on the form. You do not have to type them in.
* At this time the 国内送料750円 - Domestic Shipping Charge: 750yen will be added to your order. Your new total will be displayed.
Once you have entered the above information, click the 内容確認へ進む - Proceed to Confirmation button.

STEP 11: 受付最終確認
- Final Confirmation
All that is left now is to confirm your order one last time. Verify that everything is in order then click the 注文を確定する - Place Order button.
* Only press the 注文を確定する - Place Order button once.
* If you get an error message after pressing the 注文を確定する - Place Order button: click on the ご注文履歴 - Order History tab at the top of the page (third tab from the right) to see whether your order went through.
* Once you have pressed the Place Order button, you will be brought to the 受付完了画面 - Order Confirmation Page
* Your order will now be visible under the ご注文履歴 - Order History tab.

Your Order History
Your order has now been finalized. You will be sent a confirmation email titled ご注文完了通知 - Order Completion Notice. This email is automatically generated - do not reply to it.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
* The goods you have ordered will first be sent from the Fish Tank Shopping store to Fish Tank's Tokyo office. The 750yen Domestic Shipping charge will be applied at this time.
* About a week after you placed your order you will receive an email titled 配送通知 - Shipment Notification. (This email is automatically generated - do not reply to it.) This means that your order is now on its way from the Navi.jp store to the Fish Tank office. Inside the email you will find the 出荷日 - Shipment Date: the date on which your order was shipped to Fish Tank. At this time, your Order History will be updated with the order's shipping status.
* If you have any questions or issues, you can contact the fan-navi call center.

* Next, the goods will be shipped by EMS (courier) to the overseas address you have registered with Fish Tank. The 5000yen Overseas Shipping charge will be applied at this time.
* If the total shipping is less than 5000yen, you will receive the change (in cash) along with your order.
NOTES:
I can only speculate that if for any reason you're not able to order online, Fish Tank staff will allow you to place an order using the old shopping method. For this reason I want to include here a brief runthrough of the old mail order system, just in case anyone needs the information.
1. To choose the goods you want, either turn to the list of official goods in your FT issue or visit the http://www.item-navi.jp/ft/main website.
2. Email FT at bt@buck-tick.com. You will need to email the following information.
* Title your email "Mail Order"
1. Your Fish Tank number
2. Your full name
3. The trade name, size and quantity of goods you want
(refer to your FT magazine or the http://www.item-navi.jp/ft/main website for trade names and sizes)
4. Your email address
3. Send your cash payment (in Japanese yen) to Fish Tank. You can order yen at most banks or at an exchange office. However, keep in mind that some banks may take up to two or more weeks to order the yen for you.
* Send a copy of your email with your payment
* Add 5,000yen to your total to cover shipping.
* Send the payment in the safest way possible
* FT staff will ship your order with EMS (courier).
* If the total shipping is less than 5000yen, you will receive the change (in cash) along with your order.
