Fish Tank 58
Interview - Question & Answer with Hoshino Hidehiko
Translation: Lola
You're right in the middle of the tour right now but how do you find it's going so far?
They've all turned out to be good.
You've changed around the set list but how did that come about? Did all the members hold a meeting after a live to discuss it?
We discussed it a number of times after the show.
Are the encores decided backstage after the main set? Or are they decided upon beforehand?
The only song that was pre-decided was 'Yougetsu', the rest was open.
How do you decide which songs to perform for the encore?
By the atmosphere. Well, generally we come to the decision based on the mood.
Whose idea was it to have the "Happy HALLOWEEN" on stage after the show?
The staff?
The atmosphere from venue to venue and the mood of the audience from place to place differs from one another so was there any place that left an impression?
Anywhere where people dance is good to me.
How was performing in Toyama for the first time in 22 years?
Yeah, it was fun. They were excited to see us.
It's been a long time since you've played 'SANE' and with the set and the imagery it made it incredible and new. What was the reason behind performing 'SANE'?
Imai-san.
After performing it, what's your impression of 'SANE' 2010?
I think the imagery used suited it incredibly well.
What was your first impression of the new 'Victims of Love'? And how did you find performing it?
It's very adult.
With the sudden cold, is there anything you have to really be careful about physically while touring so as not to get sick?
Basically, wash my hands and gargle.
Your costumes really suited you this time, it was very Hide-eske but what was the theme of it? And how did you come up with it?
Well I wanted a sort of tie-dye look but also with leather, stars and glitter.
Is your costume and Imai-san's asymmetrical hair style meant to match?
What am I supposed to do to make it even? *laughs*
Your costumes have a number of patterns but how and when do you decide which costume you'll wear?
Before the actual show. Because the leather one with the stars is hot, I pick something that'll be a little cooler but if I feel I won't be moving around too much, I'll wear it.
Did you drink a lot of alcohol during this tour?
Compared to the past, not at all.
What made you design the silver pendant with the 'star'?
Well...I wanted something that felt like...giving a star a hug.
Is there anything you're working on in regards to the show at Budoukan?
Not yet, but I will be.
Would you please say a word for all those waiting for the Budoukan show and the standing tour?
Since we'll try to once again bring you a new 'RAZZLE DAZZLE', please enjoy it.
